Privacy policy
Last updated: 2026-10-12
Protecting your personal data is important to us. This privacy policy explains how we process your data when you use matflow.
01 Data controller
The operator of this matflow instance is the data controller. Contact details can be found in the imprint.
02 Data we collect
We collect the following data: name and email address at registration, sign-in data (IP address, timestamps) for security purposes, as well as usage data to improve the service.
03 Purpose of processing
Your data is processed in order to provide and manage your user account, for authentication and access control, to send emails (verification, password reset) and to ensure the proper operation of the service.
04 Legal basis
Processing takes place on the basis of Art. 6 (1) lit. b GDPR (performance of a contract) and Art. 6 (1) lit. f GDPR (legitimate interest in the security of the service).
05 Data storage
Your data is stored on servers located in the European Union (Microsoft Azure). We apply appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your data.
06 Feedback from within the application
For individual people that we enable specifically — typically test partners — the application shows a feedback button through which observations can be reported directly to our development team. It is a feedback channel for the further development of matflow, not customer support. The application loads the corresponding script only for these enabled people; for everyone else, no request is made to the ticket system. If you send a report through it, your browser transmits it to our ticket system exponential (app.exponential.at), operated for us on servers of Hetzner Online GmbH in the European Union: your message, a screenshot if you choose to take one, and the technical context of the report — name, email address, organisation, page visited and technical details such as screen dimensions and the application's version. You trigger the report yourself. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in investigating and fixing reported defects (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). We keep the reports for as long as is necessary to trace the fix.
07 Your rights
You have the right to access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and objection. Please contact the data controller to exercise these rights.
08 Cookies
matflow uses only strictly necessary or functional cookies for security, settings and authentication. We do not set any analytics, tracking or marketing cookies, and we do not load any consent-requiring third-party services. A consent banner is therefore not required. Details of the individual cookies can be found in the cookie policy.
09 Changes
We reserve the right to amend this privacy policy when necessary. The current version is always available on this page.
